Restoring Dignity Through Connection

Adopt A Grandparent India is more than a platform. It is a movement built on compassion, responsibility, and human connection.

Across India, countless elderly citizens live in silence, in old age homes, care centres, or alone without regular family support, emotional companionship, or financial security. While many receive basic necessities, what often remains missing is something far deeper: the feeling of being remembered, valued, and emotionally connected.

At its heart, this initiative seeks to restore what many elderly gradually lose, not material support alone, but the emotional security of being remembered, cared for, and held with dignity.

Adopt A Grandparent India, under the YAPA Foundation, has been created as a structured digital platform where verified elderly residents from trusted old age homes and NGOs are introduced with dignity and transparency. Through www.adoptagrandparentindia.org, individuals and families can personally adopt and support a grandparent, creating relationships that go beyond one-time donations.

This is not charity from a distance. It is care through connection. Our purpose is to transform giving into belonging, support into relationships, and responsibility into a shared social mission.

What Make Us Different

Individual Grandparent Adoption

Support is personal. You do not donate to a general fund. You choose to support a specific grandparent and become a part of their journey.

Verified Institutional Partnerships

We work with trusted old age homes, NGOs, and elder care institutions to ensure every profile is genuine, documented, and responsibly managed.

Emotional Connection Beyond Donations

This platform is designed to build relationships, not transactions. The goal is long term emotional engagement and human presence.

Transparency and Accountability

Every adoption is structured, monitored, and verified to ensure dignity, trust, and proper utilisation of support.

Scalable Social Impact

Our digital ecosystem allows us to expand responsibly across cities and states while maintaining strong ethical standards and institutional trust.

Founder's Note

Sayantani Saluja

Some ideas are not created through planning. They are born through feeling.

Adopt A Grandparent India began with a simple but powerful realisation that many elderly people in our society are not only struggling with financial limitations, but with something far more painful, the silence of being forgotten.

There are many elders whose basic needs may be managed by institutions, but what often remains missing is emotional presence, continuity of care, and the reassurance that someone still remembers them, asks about them, and genuinely cares.

That thought stayed with me.

I kept asking myself whether support should only mean financial help, or whether it should also mean connection, dignity, and belonging.

I began to believe that technology, which has connected people across the world, could also be used to restore the human bridge between generations. That belief became the foundation of Adopt A Grandparent India.

This initiative was created to ensure that support for the elderly does not remain limited to donations, but grows into something far more meaningful, emotional presence, personal responsibility, and lasting human relationships.

I believe that when compassion is given structure, it becomes sustainable. When empathy is supported by transparency, it becomes trust. And when society begins to care personally, change becomes real.

My vision is to create a future where no elder feels emotionally abandoned, where every grandparent feels valued, and where every citizen sees elder care not as charity, but as a shared human responsibility. Because every grandparent deserves not only support, but love, dignity, and belonging.
